85th Academy Award ceremony's flaw's

This year's Academy awards were so entertaining and funny, that for one night I decided to look past it's most obvious Snubs. But after reviewing the results  I decided to really speak my mind and say what was needed to be said. For one thing, best animated picture going to visually impressive but bland in story "Brave", when instead it should have gone to a visually impressive and clever story of Wreck-it-Ralph or even frankenwenie, both have very original ideas and stunning animation techniques and I would have loved to see one of those two win.

Next there is the snubs of the best movies of the year The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers and The Hobbit   , Skyfall I believe did very well winning best song and sound editing and was nominated for three other awards. But as for the dark knight rises, my favorite film of the year, it wasn't even nominated. Avengers I think could have been nominated for costume and sound editing. The hobbit could well have won for best visual effects(thank you Gollem) and production design. Thankfully that went to Life of Pi, I was blown away by the visuals and designs, but I could tell when it was CGI, like the tiger.

One thing I am glad for is the best supporting actress going to Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence for best actress, Anne had lost practically most of her muscle mass and her hair to play a heartbreaking role of Fantine as well as sing the most beautiful song in the film. Lawrence is usually portrayed as a no-nonsense woman, but now she can play a high functioning sociopath with infrequent outbursts of rage and lunacy. 

Adele won best original song with Skyfall, becoming the first Bond song to win an oscar. The other hit's  "Nobody does it better", "Live and let die" and "For your eyes only" are very good, the first two being my personal favorites, and were nominated for best original song. Paul McCarthy came back in 2001 with Vanilla Sky.

And Now the big one, Argo for Best Picture. What The F**K. Pardon my faux pas, but this film was only OK, not amazing. the story was interesting, based on the mission used by the CIA in using a fake film to remove six hostages from a now very hostile Iran. The acting was good as far as the nominations went, but the ending was predictable and there were many reported historical inaccuracies as well as the fact that Ben Afleck cast himself in a role that should have been played by someone of a Mexican ethinacy.
In my opinion either Life of Pi, Les Miserables or Lincoln should have won. The first two mainly because they took some bigger risks of including question's of faith in Pi and bringing a very difficult musical to portray on stage onto the silver screen(cinema). The last one mainly because of a sense of media and critical coverage so convinced by the success of the film they were assured there estimation's would be right.
